OAKLAND, Calif. Head-Royce lost 57-32 to Mo Bounce on Thursday, July 3, and fell to 2-5 in the 2025 Summer season. Mo Bounce won the glass 44-15, and its 19 offensive rebounds turned into 12 second-chance points. It was the Jayhawks' fourth straight loss.

Head-Royce led early. Mo Bounce opened the scoring with a free throw, and Tua Montoya answered with a 3-pointer off a feed from Lil O for a 3-1 lead. After Mo Bounce tied the game at 3, Montoya hit another 3-pointer off a turnover, again assisted by Lil O, for a 6-3 advantage. That was the Jayhawks' biggest lead of the day.

Mo Bounce answered with a 7-0 run to go ahead 10-6. Jayan scored to make it 10-8, but Mo Bounce then went on an 11-0 run, scoring twice on second chances, to lead 21-8. Lil O stopped the run with a 3-pointer, but a 7-0 spurt pushed the margin to 28-11. Mo Bounce led 35-15 after it made three straight free throws.

Head-Royce kept answering from the perimeter. Lil O hit a second-chance 3-pointer and then another assisted by Montoya, cutting the deficit to 37-21. Later, Adagio scored inside and the Jayhawks turned a Mo Bounce turnover into a 3-pointer, making it 42-26. Jason's 3-pointer off the bench brought Head-Royce within 44-29. Mo Bounce answered with a 13-0 run that included back-to-back 3-pointers and ended with a 57-29 lead, its largest of the game. A free throw by Lil O and a basket by Jayan closed the scoring.

Lil O led Head-Royce with 10 points, all but one of them on three 3-pointers. He added two assists, two steals and two offensive rebounds but was charged with seven turnovers. Montoya scored eight points on two 3-pointers and a pair of free throws, and he led the team with three assists. Jayan scored six points on three baskets and grabbed three rebounds. Adagio made his only shot and led the Jayhawks with four rebounds. Jason's 3-pointer and another from a reserve made up the bench's six points.

Head-Royce struggled to score all day, making 11 of 42 shots (26.2 percent) and 7 of 28 from 3-point range. It went 3-for-3 at the line. Mo Bounce made 23 of 55 shots (41.8 percent) and 6 of 12 from beyond the arc but only 5 of 14 free throws. The Jayhawks forced 12 turnovers and made six steals, but they committed 13 turnovers. Mo Bounce scored 8 points off turnovers to Head-Royce's 6. The rebounding gap made the difference: Mo Bounce won second-chance points 12-3.

Head-Royce is now 2-5 on the summer.
